WE GROW TOGETHER

Becket operates children’s residential treatment programs situated in central Maine. Our goal is to provide a highly structured environment for children to learn and develop healthy strategies for controlling their emotions, behaviors, and overall functioning. Each program provides a safe and stable living environment with a focus on individual treatment tailored to meet the needs of each child. All programs are informed by the most current research, treatment perspectives and best practice standards. We have treatment options for both male and female adolescents who are in need of intensive 24-hour supervision and support. See our five programs below:

The Becket House at Belgrade

The Becket House at Belgrade is located in a rural neighborhood on a 20-acre parcel of land featuring an expansive yard, woodlands, and a pond. The Belgrade House provides specialized treatment services for adolescent males who have a history of problematic and abusive sexual behavior. This intensive program provides a highly structured treatment environment with a focus on safety, supervision, and the most up-to-date treatment modalities available. A key feature of our program is its high staff to client ratio of 1:2, in addition to our two therapists, a full-time nurse, and support staff, which provide superior supervision and support. Capacity: 14-beds

The Becket House at Lewiston

The Becket House at Lewiston, the newer of our two Female treatment programs, is located in a quiet Lewiston neighborhood, featuring a large yard and a homelike atmosphere. Similar to its sister program (Auburn House), this program serves individuals that may have a history of struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation, behavioral challenges, the impacts of traumatic experiences, and those who may be at risk of sexual exploitation. Individual, group and family therapy are staples of the program, in addition to milieu-based therapy and safety planning. Our team strives to provide a stable and predictable treatment environment that provides residents and their families with a path to a healthier future. Capacity: 8-beds
